What is your role at Fullarton Park Dental?
Primarily I am Dr Michael Filosi’s dental nurse. I’ve worked with Dr Greta Filosi and Dr Andrew Hinchcliff as well! Every now and then I’ll work at reception which is nice to switch up the roles!
How long have you been a member of the team?
I’ve been working at Fullarton Park Dental for a little over 2 years now!
What do you most enjoy about your job?
I really enjoy connecting with our amazing patients, I’ve made some amazing bonds with patients these couple of years. Also, weirdly enough… I absolutely love the cleaning and organisation aspect of my job and mind you I was already a big clean freak pre-dental nursing – it’s definitely made me a tad worse! (I like to think of it as a good thing though)!
Lastly, I love my co-workers like my family, we’re all so close – they all definitely make my job!
What does an ideal Sunday look like for you?
My ideal Sunday is pretty cruisy! I drag myself out of bed for my 9am gym class – (hard but rewarding). I follow that with my favourite breakfast which is a banana and berry smoothie bowl with granola, assorted fruits and nuts – yum!
I like to meal prep for my busy week ahead so I do my grocery shopping and pre-cook all my meals. After all that I like to keep it all pretty simple, my lovely partner Ben and I like to wind down and do pretty low-key things like go to the cinemas or go out for some lunch.
Favourite holiday destination?
I can’t say I’ve travelled much, but I’ve recently been to Bali a few months ago – which was my first overseas trip! That was probably my favourite, my partner Ben and I celebrated our 2-year anniversary there! Beautiful sceneries, hot weather and spicy food – my type of place!
What’s a special skill you have that not many people know about?
I can juggle and I can hold my breath under water for just over 3 minutes! Nothing too special, I wish I could say I can deadlift 100kg but oh well, I can dream
What’s one thing you’re excited about coming up in the next 12 months.
In saying I don’t travel much; I’m actually going back to Bali in November for my partners 21st birthday! Quite exciting as most of his family from England are coming down and we haven’t seen them in a couple of years!
If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?
I would become an expert of the universe. As humans we already know so much about our universe and it still doesn’t compare to how much we haven’t identified! Imagine how much else other than what we already know is out there? It astounds me, I can’t think about it for too long or my mind goes crazy!
