Hi there my name is Amy and I’m an Oral Health Therapist here at Fullarton Park Dental.
A little bit about me I’ve been in the dental industry for seven years now.
I started off as a dental assistant and then I moved on to complete my Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Adelaide.
So what is an Oral Health Therapist?
I’m sure you’re wondering.
To put it simply, I’m dual-qualified.
So my first qualification is in dental hygiene and that allows me to complete cleans on people of all ages and to educate them on their oral health and help them understand how to maintain their oral health at home.
My second qualification is in dental therapy and that allows me to complete preventive and restorative care for children up until the age of 18.
Restorative care being fillings, crowns, nerve treatments and extractions.
What I love about oral health therapy is that it takes a very holistic and preventive view on dentistry and gives you as the patient the tools to look after your oral health at home.
A little bit more about me personally I love singing and playing guitar, I also love playing piano as well.
I love hanging out with my little dog, Dougy.
He is a chihuahua, he is very cute, I’m a bit of a chihuahua enthusiast.
